The build material is a soft silicone. The buds weigh just 5g each, three sizes of gel are included, and these are nicely pliable to bend to each ear shape....

Both Netblocks and Cloudflare reported significant internet shutdowns in the country on Tuesday evening after protests began in the western town of Zhanaozen. Alp Toker, director of NetBlocks, told ZDNet that they have been tracking the disruptions since their onset on Tuesday. NetBlocks found that initially, mobile services and some fixed lines were affected before there was a country-wide blackout around 5 pm on Wednesday affecting all connectivity in the country....

Local carriers, which commercialised 5G back in 2019, had previously only offered 5G non-standalone (NSA) services so far, where 4G LTE and 5G networks are used together. KT claimed the use of 5G SA over 5G NSA would reduce latency and power consumption for smartphone users. The telco will offer a software update for its subscribers that will allow them to switch network settings from NSA to SA. KT’s 5G SA service will first be available on the Galaxy S20 series of smartphones, before it expands to the Galaxy S21 series later this year....

Meta explained on Thursday that the integration would “enable companies to share posts from Workplace with employees” over WhatsApp. Ujjwal Singh, Workplace’s head of product, said the integration with WhatsApp is designed to help bridge the gap between frontline employees and upper management. By bringing Workplace to WhatsApp, organizations will have an easier way to reach workforces, according to Meta. The company tied the news about the integration to a report about frontline workers....

The prototype tech is essentially a glove that can reproduce a range of sensations in virtual worlds, including texture, pressure, and vibration. Last year, Microsoft announced it was removing the Linux kernel from the Windows OS image with WSL2 and would, instead, deliver it to users’ machines using Windows update. WSL enables developers to run a GNU/Linux environment – including most command-line tools, utilities, and applications – directly on Windows, unmodified, without a virtual machine or dual-boot setup.

Rumors and questions about the group’s most recent disappearance dominated the conversation this week after Recorded Future security expert Dmitry Smilyanets shared multiple messages on Twitter from ‘0_neday’ – a known REvil operator – discussing what happened on the cybercriminal forum XSS. He claimed someone took control of the group’s Tor payment portal and data leak website. In the messages, 0_neday explains that he and “Unknown” – a leading representative of the group – were the only two members of the gang who had REvil’s domain keys....
