In other Teams-related news, Microsoft launched last week a new device trade-in program for Teams in conjunction with Network-Value, a device trade-in specialist. Via this program, companies can get cash back by selling their video-conferencing hardware, desktop phones, and other unified communications devices as part of their move to Teams.

The company, known for its widely used virtual private network (VPN) service, confirmed last week that a server it was renting from a data center in Finland was exploited by an attacker via an insecure remote management system left by the data center provider. The New Zealand Telecommunications Forum (TCF) has been given 60 working days to develop a binding code that will give users “sufficient notice” of any copper service change, that customers will know about the “full range” of alternative services including those from other providers, and information on how alternative services would perform.
